Up for sale is a very rare 1965 Ford Mustang 'K' code convertible.
This Hi-Po convertible has been completely restored to
factory original condition. Finished in the original color
of Rangoon Red with Red standard interior. As was true
for all 1965 K code equipped Mustangs, this convertible
is a 4 speed. The original numbers matching motor was just
professionally rebuilt to factory specs and is in absolute
tip top shape. This is one of the best driving K code convertibles
I have ever owned. The underside was completely restored
as well including all factory paint markings. All Ford
vin#s are present and in their factory locations. All sheetmetal
appears to be original and the body gaps line up near perfectly.
You can tell that this car has been well maintained all
its life. Current thinking is that only about 270 K code
convertibles were built in 1965. THE K code was the highest
horsepower motor available from 1964 through 1966. Factory
rated at 271 horsepower, it was the clear choice for the
base powerplant of all Shelby GT350's from 1965 through
