This
is the 19th Shelby produced in 1967. This car has been completely
restored to this concourse level. It is an all-original body panel
car that has undergone a complete rotisserie restoration. This early
production vehicle has options that were not available on all Shelbys
they include high mount side lights-only present on approximately
the first 200 cars. Functional side rear brake cooling ducts-only
on the first 1500 cars. This car also has the hand engraved Shelby
vin plate instead of the die stamped plate , this was due to the fact
that the tooling to stamp these plates were not available until after
production started. This car still retains the correct Shelby seat
belt harnesses, roll bar, gauges, and perfect wood steering wheel.
It has its correct numbers matching engine, transmission and rear
axle. This car was originally built as a show vehicle for Shelby-American.
The engine is the correct 306hp/289cid engine with a solid lifter
camshaft topped off with a cobra hi-rise intake manifold with a 715
CFM Holley carb. Finned aluminum valve covers.
